This beauty is the “Shasta” Adamantine model, was made in 1916 and is a favorite of collectors everywhere. This version is larger than most others, features a serpentine top, celluloid drum sides, four fully round celluloid columns, large ornate metal feet and uses 89AD movement. The “Adamantine” finish is a patented laminate finish from the late 1800s and is in beautiful condition. Dating to the turn of the 20th century, this ornamental and highly decorative clock is known as the “Shasta” model. Decorated and flanked with marbleized trim that holds a matching celluloid drum and two Grecian celluloid columns with gilded pediments on each side, the clock stands on ornate scrolled and gilded feet.
