I don’t know how accurate it keeps time and I also do not know if its supposed to have a bell. I have not heard a bell in the time I have had it. It does not come with the winding key. Seth Thomas mark 1 U. Navy ships bulkhead deck clock. Nickel plating worn in places. Comes with original removable hinged bulkhead mounting plate screwed to a finished wooden plaque. This clock has the black dial. This clock came off the bulkhead of a U. It is sometimes referred to as a porthole clock because it operates the same way with hing and lock-down toggle. Large old brass clock from Allis-Chalmers Milwaukee Works. It was made by the American Steam Gauge & Valve Company and has a Seth Thomas movement. The face is about 10 inches diameter and the bezel is 12 3/8 inches. It is in working order with some issues. The movement is a vintage replacement. The glass is also replaced. It has tarnish and wear and the back rim has a bend at the top mounting hole. The keys both work, but are replacements. The door often does not lock when it is shut. Up for sale is a Rare Antique Seth Thomas Automatic 8 Day Long Alarm Clock. This one is the Grand model. The clock features brushed copper casing, an ornately footed base, and an alarm movement. A note inside indicated that it was last serviced in October of 2016. When tested, both springs wound and the clock ran. However, any insight on how to test the alarm? World War II Era. Dated October 1942 on the movement. The case appears to be a black Bakelite? 7 3/4 inches in diameter. The matte black 24 hour dial is stamped US NAVY 24902-E MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. 6 inches in diameter. The movement is stamped 10-42 MADE IN U. 5164 The clock is in good working order. Comes with a correct size key. The only flaw is a tiny chip on the back edge as shown. Not sure why the prior owner put duct tape on the back.
