The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced so the clock runs good, keeps time and chimes properly, counting each hour on a nickle plated bell. The case is constructed of solid walnut and is in overall nice condition. The original finish is well aged and worn giving it an authentic rustic appearance.
