This Seth Thomas mantle clock is very decorative and works good. It has just come back from our clock maker, who has tuned it up and tested it. The clock features lion heads to the sides, lion paw feet and an ornamental basket on top. The clock has a nice ring and comes with instructions to adjust the speed in case it goes off in future. Here is a large cleaned and serviced Seth Thomas movement stamp with a patent date of Dec 28, 1875. There is also a stamp that reads either FOA or FQA. It is mounted on a board with a pendulum and chime rod. It has a seconds bit, chimes on the hour, runs well and keeps good time. A fun conversation piece. Like a skeleton clock! The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878.
