Beyond rare and hard to find alone is a set of early original Seth Thomas urn style finials. These came off an early on the Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll clocks just after their earliest wood finials, 1820’s. The base and spiral style top are turned cast brass. Bowels are two piece spun brass. The steel posts are just under 1/8 dia. With just a few threads on the top of the rods. They show some rust and tarnish which they should for their age. Beautiful in good working condition Seth Thomas mantle clock. Has a few small scratches on top left scroll as pictured. Keeps great time as long as you remember to wind. Antique Ansonia pillar and scroll mantle mechanical (wind-up) clock from the 920’s. After winging it up, the clock appears to work for a while, then tIcking starts to slow down, eventually stopping.
