This is a very Unique styled clock, it was named the Detroit by Seth Thomas and his Staff. It is circa 1880 (+) (-) 3 years. It is 19 1/2″ High with a 6″ dial. As you can see the dial is losing it’s finish, but with proper care by touching as little as possible it will stay intact much longer. Up for sale is this Rare Antique Seth Thomas Boston Model City Series Parlor Mantle Clock. Case shows a fair amount of wear, rubs and scratches. I believe two finials are replaced and the third is damaged. The dial pushes in a bit when you insert the key, needs a little solder at the bottom. One of the Geneva springs stops has been removed.
