Seth Thomas clock c1918. Mahogany with inlaid design on front. Includes key and shim. It appears to be a Prospect model, however the inlaid design on the front is identical to a Progress model from 1915, but unlike the Progress, it is not an alarm clock. It chimes on the half hour and hour. All original and it works! On a level surface it needs a shim or a penny under the right side to keep ticking (although servicing may fix this). Seth Thomas Prospect No. Fully and properly overhauled, serviced and tested No. 89 Seth Thomas Time and Strike movement. The movement appears to be original to the case. Case finish is original with some alligatoring which attests to the clocks true age. Nice contrasting light wood marquetery against brown mahogany finish. It has a date stamp on the bottom of the case which indicates this example was manufactured in January of 1917. Pendulum Bob and winding keys are appropriate replacements.
