This is a celluloid finish that in the catalogs is described this way; the finish is very durable and cannot be scratched or dented by any ordinary usage. The clock has a fully and properly restored model 89 movement, a workhorse in the Seth Thomas line from 1907 until the 1930s. FULLY & PROPERLY RESTORED SETH THOMAS No. 91 WESTMINSTER CHIME MANTEL CLOCK. Up for sale is a very nice Seth Thomas No. 91 tambour case mantel clock with Westminster chimes. This clock has some of the extras not found on all of the No. 91 Chime clocks, including beveled glass and the gilded Mayland Chime bar. The case is made of mahogany and the original finish is in very good condition with a slight crazing that is consistent with shellac finishes of this age.
