Here is a handsome American crystal regulator repair project with dial marked Gilbert but movement clearly marked Seth Thomas. Probably an old and clumsy attempt at restoring a crystal regulator. At any rate, here it is in as found condition, with good springs running but out beat and has to be tipped out of level, and rear glass has crack at top left as pictured. Antique SETH THOMAS 19 CLOCK. This must have been a beauty in it’s glory days! The structure itself is in pretty good condition. Some veneer is peeling at the top and someone has taped it to keep it together. Some of the veneer is missing near the top. The door closes well and the closure on it works well. The face is in bad shape and one of the hands is missing. I think it might be behind the face, but I’m not sure that’s what I see. Up for sale is this Antique Seth Thomas Sonora Chime Tambour Mantle Clock Restoration Project 4 Rod. Case and finish shows considerable wear including scratches, crackelure and soiling. I noticed one screw missing to hold Movement in place, making winding a bit off, there is also one chime hammer lift bar broken. Measures about 18 1/2 x 11 3/4 x 7 1/2.
