This clock comes with an alarm mechanism that I tend to see less and less of these days in clock collecting. Often these mechanisms will be seen in Ogee clocks and 8 day spring driven mantle clocks. Columns have been re-gessoed and painted in a faux marble look with gold compliments. Some veneer flaking or loose spots with age. Overall in excellent shape. The clock measures 16″ x 10 1/2″ x 5. This is an excellent Vintage Large Brass Clock Porthole that would look great in a Restaurant/Bar, Office or wherever you like. This porthole has 4 brass screw eyes which unscrew to remove the front. The glass front is plexiglass. You could make a unique table out of it if you like. The clock inside is a Seth Thomas which is a newer model and works great. It takes a double A battery.
