Up for sale is this very Rare Antique Seth Thomas Pilot House Ships Clock Case with Stand and over 8 diameter Dial. Lots of wear and issues both to the brass and wood. This is a full on restoration project. The case isnt true round near the door hinge, so the dial wont sit in there and the door doesnt close and latch. US Coast Guard 6 inch black dial clock. Model 117 movement was manufactured during World War 2 to compete with Chelsea’s model “F” movement. It bears more than a resemblance to the Chelsea version. In the upside down or “pilot house” configuration. Just fully overhauled, the direct train escapement movement looks like it just came off the production line. The original dial is excellent.
