Vintage Seth Thomas School Pillar & Scroll Mantle Clock, Reverse Painted Panel. A vintage Seth Thomas pillar and scroll mantle clock, produced in the mid-20th century. This handsome timepiece is crafted from mahogany and faithfully reproduces the iconic American Federal style. The case features a classic scrolled pediment crest, adorned with three turned finials. It is flanked by freestanding turned pillars, characteristic of the pillar and scroll form popularized in the early 19th century. The hinged front door contains two glass panels.
