52 AMERICAN WALNUT – 1932. Offered today is this beautiful, one of a kind Seth Thomas Chime No. 52 produced in the year of 1932. This clock has man made character marks that show in the pictures but worth mentioning. Top of the clock has a sun bleach spot that can only be seen when on top but not from the sides. The dial has some wear that someone along the 90 plus years tried to rub spots out and the chapter ring shows fading from about the 6 to 10. Seth Thomas Model #74 or #75 Tambour Westminster Chime Mantle Clock. I collect and restore any clock that specifically has the Seth Thomas 113(A) movement. I have literally overhauled 20 or 30 of these specific movements. I think I can faithfully say that I completely understand the nuances of this particular movement probably more than most anyone else other than Seth Thomas himself. Seth Thomas clock c1918. Mahogany with inlaid design on front. Includes key and shim. It appears to be a Prospect model, however the inlaid design on the front is identical to a Progress model from 1915, but unlike the Progress, it is not an alarm clock. It chimes on the half hour and hour. All original and it works! On a level surface it needs a shim or a penny under the right side to keep ticking (although servicing may fix this).
