CLASSIC Seth Thomas original vintage wood clock – make an offer!

Antique 19th century Seth Thomas Alarm Clock, circa 1870’s. All metal clock with a glass face. Measures 9″ tall X 7″ wide with a depth of 3 1/2. No damage to the metal case. There is one screw missing on the left hand side just underneath the scroll work on that left side as you face the clock. It does not seem to keep time but the alarm goes off and has a loud normal sound. A fine addition to any home or collection! All items come from a smoke free home. This clock is in very good condition for its age. Please inspect the HD pictures included. The clock keeps very good time. When fully wound, it runs for the full eight days. It chimes on the half hour and hour (if you don’t want the clock to chime, only wind the right side hole/arbor, near 4 o’clock hour). The movement has been properly oiled recently. If you have no experience with using mechanical clocks, I would kindly prefer that you refrain from purchasing this clock. Mechanical clocks are complex timepieces that are not plug n’ play devices.

May have scratches and scuffs. Will be packed with care. It needs to be winded! It chime will need to be set to the corrected to the right time!

THIS CLOCK BELONGS TO AN 84 YEAR OLD LADY WHO GOT IT FROM HER PARENTS. SEVERAL YEARS AGO, SHE HAD IT CHECKED BY A CLOCK REPAIRMAN AND TAUGHT HER HOW AND WHEN TO WIND IT. SHE TOLD ME SHE COULD NEVER KEEP A GOOD SCHEDULE GOING TO WIND IT, SO SHE JUST QUIT TRYING. IT’S JUST SAT ON THE MANTLE SINCE.
