Has the original bob and is tested, it runs great without issue. The clock has run for days straight without stopping, runs like a dream and the chime and gong works great! I winded it near fully and the clock ran flawlessly the entire time until needing a new wind. Hard to find in this condition! Glass on the front is in good shape, has the back cover as well, missing the key. Clock runs and works as it should. The half hour bell and hour gong works and sounds great. Antique 19th century Seth Thomas Alarm Clock, circa 1870’s. All metal clock with a glass face. Measures 9″ tall X 7″ wide with a depth of 3 1/2. No damage to the metal case. There is one screw missing on the left hand side just underneath the scroll work on that left side as you face the clock. It does not seem to keep time but the alarm goes off and has a loud normal sound. A fine addition to any home or collection! All items come from a smoke free home. This clock is in very good condition for its age. Please inspect the HD pictures included. The clock keeps very good time. When fully wound, it runs for the full eight days. It chimes on the half hour and hour (if you don’t want the clock to chime, only wind the right side hole/arbor, near 4 o’clock hour). The movement has been properly oiled recently. If you have no experience with using mechanical clocks, I would kindly prefer that you refrain from purchasing this clock. Mechanical clocks are complex timepieces that are not plug n’ play devices.
