It is currently not running but if I swing pendulum it does keep time for a minute or two with second hand and minute hands both moving as should. Up for sale is a Rare Antique Seth Thomas Automatic 8 Day Long Alarm Clock. This one is the Grand model. The clock features brushed copper casing, an ornately footed base, and an alarm movement. A note inside indicated that it was last serviced in October of 2016. When tested, both springs wound and the clock ran. However, any insight on how to test the alarm? This antique pendulum wall clock with a unique second hand is in very good condition and working. It has some ware from age and use but a minimal amount for being over 100 years old. The Seth Thomas movement is marked with an 80. After research, I think that this clock was made in the late 1800’s though I don’t see any markings on the back indicating the year it was made. It is 32″ tall, 16″ wide and almost 6 thick. The face is 12 in diameter and has a bit of ware on the bottom numbers from the hands, which are loose, that may have been rubbing. This […]
