Up for sale is this very Rare Antique Seth Thomas Pilot House Ships Clock Case with Stand and over 8 diameter Dial. Lots of wear and issues both to the brass and wood. This is a full on restoration project. The case isnt true round near the door hinge, so the dial wont sit in there and the door doesnt close and latch. There maybe some warping to the backboard or maybe its just loosening of the stand as a hole as the back of the case doesnt rest completely flush against it, it pulls a bit away as you go higher. An old Seth Thomas calendar clock. The movement has been oiled and is in good running condition. I don’t think the case has been stripped, but it looks like someone clean, revived the finish sometime ago. The dial paint has some cracking, scratches, marks, etc. There is missing paint by the 25 and 30. There is some glazing missing around the inside of the bezel. The hinge has been soldered and has a little play in it. The bezel and calendar hand has been painted gold. Measures 23 3/4” tall and 16” wide. A key is included.
