Seth Thomas clock c1918. Mahogany with inlaid design on front. Includes key and shim. It appears to be a Prospect model, however the inlaid design on the front is identical to a Progress model from 1915, but unlike the Progress, it is not an alarm clock. It chimes on the half hour and hour. All original and it works! On a level surface it needs a shim or a penny under the right side to keep ticking (although servicing may fix this). Up for sale is one of the best original Antique Seth Thomas “Eclipse” Model Clocks I have ever owned. This clock was just overhauled and cleaned on 6/19/21 and runs perfect. The clock man who did the work said the movement overall was in great shape with no ware and had no reason for any bushing installation. For your consideration a beautiful 8 day Seth Thomas Antique Mantle Clock that works great. It runs eight days like it should and is in good condition; some of the decorative trim is missing in front and a little on 1 side (see enlarged photos of) and there are a few scratches which is to be expected for its age. This is a very attractive and desirable Seth Thomas Adamantine which I enjoy purchasing and working on because Seth Thomas made very high quality movements and pioneered the sort of veneer over wood look that looks great. This is not a top of the line adamantine but has a very decent look going with the lions heads tan beige marble tone and good looking bezel. But the dial does have cracks around the winding ports.
