Electric Striking Mantle Clock. Is keeping time and will strike/chime on the hour and half hour. I believe the case is mahogany -not sure about wood types. Has an inlay strip in front. The wood case is clean, however it does have paint spackles on it – I believe can easily be cleaned up without any damage to the wood. According to the stamp on the bottom (5103), this clock was made in March 1951. The interior mechanism has a stamp of 5101 which translates to January 1951. 15″ long by 8 1/2″ high by 4 1/2 deep. The item you are looking at is a very rare antique Seth Thomas wooden electric mantle clock with alarm. I don’t know anything about these old clocks. I took many photos to show the clock from every angle. There is some dust on the inside of the clock face (which can be removed) that can be seen in the photos at the bottom of the face. It has a dial on the back that goes to 12 with a red/black dot on the front. It is 5 1/4″ tall and 5 1/4″ wide. I tested the alarm and it works great too. I really adore this clock.
