Description: Early 20th c. Bells appear to be sounding out of order. This clock does not come with a key. Measurements: 4 diameter dial. 8 1/4 glass cover including helm handles. 3 1/2 deep clock body. 21″ x 3″ x 5 base Weight: 7lb. Condition: Clock winds and sets well. Bells ring on the hour and half hour, but they may be out of order, as they don’t ring the correct number of times for the hour (5 bells at 9 o’clock, 6 bells at 10 o’clock). Gorgeous 8-Day clock by Seth Thomas. This old piece has been in our family for generations, and is looking for a new family to enjoy it. It does include the key, and when wound it keeps decently accurate time. Note it is an 8-day clock, so if you want to use it for time you will have to wind it! There is an extra piece on the bottom, I’m not sure if it is a piece that needs to be repaired. It does chime, with a nice delicate tone, not loud. For your consideration we have a Seth Thomas seven Jeweled Eight Day. The clock does not run, needs service & repair. There is no key. The bezel and clock case shows discoloration. The beveled glass looks good. Case Is Complete And Dent Free, Needs Cleaning / Polishing. The dial is nice has some discoloration but overall looks good.
