Nice working example of this Seth Thomas Clock. Seth Thomas “SOLAR”, made in Thomaston. 8 Day Chime Clock. Comes with it’s pendulum and Winding Key. Measures 10 1/2 Inches High, 9 Inches Wide. Clock has been oiled, and is running properly and chiming correctly.

This listing is for a nice Edwardian desk/mantel clock by Seth Thomas. This clock has a nice gold tone dial and wooden case. It is quite a nice clock and it is in overall good condition. Used condition, missing feet and one column. Has some dings and chipping on the top back side. I know nothing about clocks. It’s just something I picked up at a local estate sale. Please see photos for details.

Looks to be all original, including the key and pendulum. One tiny veneer loss as shown. I think finish is adamintine? It’s very dark brown, almost black. The original felt pads on the feet have been poorly replaced.

Cosmetically the set is very good with no noticeable issues. There is a dedication plate that appears to be glued to the cradle. The blame is dated 1966 and refers to a Baltimore harbor master. Mechanically, the clock was wound and ticked. When the hands were cycled it chimed. It wasn’t tested for accuracy or run duration. It a nice clock set in great shape nand it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it.
