The clock case is stainless or aluminum (non-magnetic) and the wall bracket is made of bronze. The door to the clock face is glass and Bakelite in construction. The entire clock weighs about 15 pounds and is painted in a navy black coating. Contains original fittings, lights and dials for adjustment and running in the dark. The clock diameter is 7 3/4 inches, back frame is 10 1/4 inches and projects off the wall by 5 inches. The clock comes with a US Navy plaque that was in a bag and tied to the clock when found. Original Seth Thomas US Navy WWII Course Clock Mark 2 Model 1, Serial Number #21359. This is a Beautiful WWII Rare Antique Clock! These were used on ships during WWII to maintain a zig zag course for submarine amd torpedo evasion. In its original Bakelite case on its Sperry Repeater. Original Radium hamds and dial. Clock winds and runs, hands do not set- the shaft to set the hands moves, but the gear must not be engaging with the hands to set them. Hands can still be set manually.
