This is a large Ashcroft Manufacturing Co. It uses a double wind Seth Thomas marine lever movement and runs well. The case is nickel silvered and has held up pretty well over the years. Its keeping time pretty well. The case uses a side key that probably isnt original, but it works ok. The winding key is not original. I also notice a slight dent in the bezel right around the 2, but its not noticeable in the pictures and is hard to detect otherwise. This is a rare clock and larger than most. WONDERFUL SETH THOMAS SONS & COMPANY GILT FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK CIRCA 1872. Measures approximately 15 ½ high by 17 ½ wide by 5 ½ deep. Clock has been serviced and is running fine. It is running fast but can be adjusted by moving the pendulum balance either up or down. There are two keys for the large wind-ups in the clock face but needs a very tiny key for the wind-up in the top rim of the clock face.
