Beautiful Non-Working Seth Thomas No. 124 with Westminster chime and silent feature. Clock was running good then it stopped. I tried to wind it, but the spring would never wind. You could hear a clicking noise like it was trying to wind, until then the clock ran fine. This could be a easy fix by replacing or repairing the barrel spring on the time side, but then that’s above my pay grade. I refinished the case to bring out the beautiful grain and polished the bezel, the convex glass and dial and case are in very good to excellent condition in my opinion. Seth Thomas office calendar #3 wall clock, better known as the “Peanut” calendar clock. The case is rosewood veneer, in good condition with a few small areas of loss, and measures 23″ L x 10 1/2 ” W. Probably made before 1875 since the label shows the place of manufacture as Plymouth Hollow, CT before its name was changed to Thomaston in 1875 to honor the clock maker, Seth Thomas.
