Seth Thomas 8 Day 48J movement has been cleaned and oiled and is running and striking properly. Strikes on the half hour and counts the hour. Beautiful Porcelain Seth Thomas dial and blue original Spade Hands compliment the clock nicely. Beveled glass and bezel are all in great shape. This pair is from a yacht that was refurbished. They have been stored in a drawer for over 20 years without the battery. The clock started right up as soon as I put a new AA battery in. I saw a bit of movement in the needle of the barometer when I turned the silver knob, but I can’t guarantee it works. The front of the set is in excellent condition. There is a bit of wear on the backside from being mounted to the yacht’s cabin for several years prior to me acquiring them. In the USA that features a very high quality #89 series eight day time and quarter hour chime movement. We wound it up and found that it runs and chimes for a full week, but it may need adjustments since it has not been serviced.
