1880’s Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantel Clock Which Has Just Been Professionally Cleaned, Oiled, and Serviced by a long established local Clock Shop. Other than a few small areas of surface damage to the adamantine (please see images) the clok is in Very Good++ or Somewhat Better Condition. Here is a large cleaned and serviced Seth Thomas movement stamp with a patent date of Dec 28, 1875. There is also a stamp that reads either FOA or FQA. It is mounted on a board with a pendulum and chime rod. It has a seconds bit, chimes on the hour, runs well and keeps good time. A fun conversation piece. Like a skeleton clock! The movement plates measure about 4″ W at the top and 5″ W at the bottom and 7 1/2 high. The width including the gears is 7 1/2.
