From my Personal Collection, a Rare Totally Restored Seth Thomas Milan City Series Mantle Clock in solid Magogany, circa 1900. Seth Thomas 48J Rack and Snail 8-Day movement, strikes on cathedral gong on the half hour, and on the hour with the hour count. Clock has a Beautiful Fully Restored Mahogany cabinet with natural patina left, excellent condition. Offered with the original Seth Thomas Porcelain dial with Arabic Numerals, solid brass bezel and glass. Clock movement was completely overhauled, cleaned and oiled for another lifetime. Up for sale is this very unusual Seth Thomas Parlor or Kitchen Clock. Im not sure if this was part of the City Series or what the model is called. It has the beautiful lyre shaped Movement and impressive brass and iron Coil Gong. I literally tested this clock for 15 minutes prior to listing, just long enough to hear it Strike, and it has a very deep resonance. Measures about 15 3/4 x 11. Antique Seth Thomas Norfolk V. City Series Clock 1878 Serviced & Running. This impressive looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA right around 1800. The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced so the clock runs good, keeps time and chimes properly, counting each hour on a nickle plated bell.
