This clock was made in the United States. The frame around the clock has some cracks, see images. The face is clear and readable. The keys turn but there is no sound and the clock does not keep time.

BLACK DIAL SHOWS AGE HAS SOME FADING. BLACK HOUR MINUTE HANDS, DO NOT KNOW IF ORIGINAL, MISSING SECOND HAND. NOT THE GREATEST CAMERA PICTURES SO MUCH BETTER THAN SHOWN WILL TRY WITH A NEW CAMERA.

3 Clock – 3-3/4 Dial – Brass Case 1922 Model A very fine and all orginal Seth Thomas No. 3 Clock is in good running condition and a very clean silvered dial. The clock is fitted with the Seth Thomas 7-jewel 8 day “Highest Grade Metal Levers” movement with scrolled work escapement. Clock movement is very nice shape for it’s age. The clock is in very fine condition and complete it is in running and keeping very good time. Fitted with a Seth Thomas double spring, detached eleven jeweled escapement, compensating balance wheel, Breguet hairspring, cut steel pinions, and heavy milled solid brass plates. These movements were Seth Thomas’ very high end performers and where also used in their railroad clocks. The dial is engraved and silvered and is very clean. The clock movement is all housed in a solid heavy cast brass case with hinged plate glass bezel and keyed door lock. No Serial Number. Dial – signed Seth Thomas – Dial is paper – dial does have some discoloration. Black Arabic numbers – single sunk, wonderful heavy black steel hands. Solid Brass case with porthole beveled glass crystal – Front measures 6″ diameter 4″ deep – back measures 8. Movement -appears to be working when wound and chime/striker is working – not tested and can not vouch for accuracy, reliability, missing broken, or scratched parts and pieces. Her Majesty the Queen of all Seth Thomas clocks. This beautiful Seth Thomas Chime No. 97 was produced in the year of 1928. The original finish Mahogany case is the most stunning that I have seen in a long time as the pictures will show with no spider web lines (crazing). All the best features are on this model. Step up molding on the bottom front and sides of the clock with step down moldings at the 3 and 9. An open scroll like outline that starts at the 3 and 9 and stops at each end.
