Both mainsprings are good and it has been ticking away while I photographed it without the pendulum attached. Up for sale is an Antique Seth Thomas Sonora Chime Double Movement Cathedral Clock. This one features a double movement system with quarter hour chimes. A note inside indicated that it was last serviced in October of 2018. When tested, all springs wound and the clock ran and chimed. Westminster chime sounds a little slow but rings every 15 mins as designed. Chime does need to be adjusted, as it chimes at 5-10 minutes after it is supposed to. Hours chime at top of hour usually. Will miss a chime sequence occasionally. Clock finish shows age but no visible damage or repairs noted. It’s old, and needs to be professionally serviced. Many service markings on the clock, so I’m thinking it was well taken […]
