This clock is for parts or repair only. The clock does run. I wound the clock up and the clock runs for a couple of hours then stops. I do not know what is wrong with the clock. The movement might just need to be cleaned. The calendar part of the clock does work correctly. The clock is in Good cosmetic condition. The clock has a wood case. I do not see any cracks, breaks or repairs in the case of the clock. The case does show the normal signs of use with minor surface scratches and scuffs (please see pictures). It has a Beautiful Walnut Wood Case with Octagon Style Top and Applied Decorative Trim, with Original Seth Thomas Maker’s Label on Back. Seth Thomas office calendar #3 wall clock, better known as the “Peanut” calendar clock. The case is rosewood veneer, in good condition with a few small areas of loss, and measures 23″ L x 10 1/2 ” W. Probably made before 1875 since the label shows the place of manufacture as Plymouth Hollow, CT before its name was changed to Thomaston in 1875 to honor the clock maker, Seth Thomas. Perfect running, striking and calendar function on the great Seth Thomas No. 3 Double Dial Calendar Parlor Clock. This clock strikes on a bell, preferred over a gong on some of them. These clocks seem to have some level of veneer loss and it seems characteristic for this model; this one is minor.
