(July 1939) stamped inside case. Mechanical, 8-day, dual mainspring (time + strike). Bulkhead or wall-mounted, typical of naval installations. Manufactured in July 1939, this clock predates the U. Entry into WWII and reflects Seth Thomas’s early naval production standards. This feature is consistent with pre-war naval clocks designed for both function and discretion. Here is a recent estate find. The Dial is a Silver Metal Dial with Arabic Numerals, Signed “Seth Thomas”. This has a Brass Porthole Case with Screw Off Bezel, in Good Condition. This is a Wind-Up Clock. There are 2 Winding Arbors on the Dial, and Includes a Winding Key. The Clock Itself Measures approx. 5 1/4″ in Diameter x 3″, with a 4 Dial.
