An antique Seth Thomas brass bottom bell ships clock with attached brass bell and key. I believe this dates to circa 1889. It is in very solid working condition. The glass is in suprisingly good condition with no cracks or dings and virtually no scratches. The hinge is solid and can suppport its own weight without risking falling apart. The door closes easily and fits nicely and is not loose. I think the patina on the housing is beautiful. Much of the nickel plating is worn off exposing the bronze underneath. Up for sale is this nice Seth Thomas lever bottom bell ships clock c. This piece does run but has not been serviced since 1995 so I can not guarantee this as a working clock. It does sound the bell. There are some scratches on the dial as seen in the photos. The brass case is in very good condition. The three screws on the bottom of the hinge are not brass.
