Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day “Beehive” Style Striking Mantle Clock. This beautifully styled clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Co. In Thomaston, Connecticut, USA during the earlier 1900’s. It features a quality Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and is in good running order, keeping time and gonging properly. The nicely styled mahogany case is still in the original finish. It is in very good condition and beautiful in appearance. The original painted dial and brass bezel assembly is also in remarkable shape. Measures approximately 14-3/4″ tall and 10″ wide at base. Made by Seth Thomas. Clock has been running for a few days at listing time. Appears to be within a couple minute or so per day. Westminster chime sounds a little slow but rings every 15 mins as designed. Chime does need to be adjusted, as it chimes at 5-10 minutes after it is supposed to. Hours chime at top of hour usually. Will miss a chime sequence occasionally. Clock finish shows age but no visible damage or repairs noted. It’s old, and needs to be professionally serviced. Many service markings on the clock, so I’m thinking it was well taken […]

For sale is a Hennegen Bates Co/Seth Thomas Sonora Chimes 4 bell beehive clock circa 1910. The movement is an 8 day movement (wind it once a week). The movement is stamped with Made in America. The clock rings on four bells. It chimes on each quarter hour adding to the sweet melody. The walnut case has a small veneer loss at the apex in the back (seen in the photo) and a divet near the top that does not detract from the enjoyment of the clock.
