Antique 1870s – 1880s E. WELCH Mahogany Regulator Long Drop Wall Clock – UNUSUAL. Pendulum – Present – Era correct. Dial – Paper – Sweigert Replacement. Movement – Marked E. Welch – Time only. Operating condition – Tested – This clock ran but did so inconsistently, would run for approx 10 mins and then stop. My guess is the movement will need a cleaning. Antique 19th century Seth Thomas Alarm Clock, circa 1870’s. All metal clock with a glass face. Measures 9″ tall X 7″ wide with a depth of 3 1/2. No damage to the metal case. There is one screw missing on the left hand side just underneath the scroll work on that left side as you face the clock. It does not seem to keep time but the alarm goes off and has a loud normal sound. A fine addition to any home or collection! All items come from a smoke free home. Seth Thomas office calendar #3 wall clock, better known as the “Peanut” calendar clock. The case is rosewood veneer, in good condition with a few small areas of loss, and measures 23″ L x 10 1/2 ” W. Probably made before 1875 since the label shows the place of manufacture as Plymouth Hollow, CT before its name was changed to Thomaston in 1875 to honor the clock maker, Seth Thomas. The clock has the “S” “T” monogrammed hands. The dial measures 5 1/2″ in diameter and the calendar dial 7 3/4″. The door lock is missing and a swivel hook secures the door to the clock frame.
