Beautiful antique Seth Thomas crystal pendulum mantel, empire-style clock. The clock came from an old estate that was located on the banks of Lake Monroe in Volusia County, FL. It is brass and beveled glass in great condition and lovely brass patina. From what I understand it is circa early 1900’s. There are numbers written on the bottom that are very difficult to decipher but maybe have some significance to model. The door works and it has the original key. When it’s wound it ticks and chimes. This clock is 10″ tall with an 8 1/4″ wide base and is made of either copper or brass with a high copper content. The base has beautiful raised Victorian decorative detailing on three sides. Up for sale is this antique Seth Thomas Chime #95 Mantle Clock. This is a parts or repair project. The movement has consistently run for 4-5 minutes before stopping (I tried six or seven times at least). It did Chime as it passed the quarter hours, but the rods are a bit bent so it sounded a little muted and awkward. A key will be included. The finish is quite shiny, there is a rough spot right near the start of the curve on the right side, and the footing in that side is a bit chewed up both shown in photos.
