Offered for your consideration is this Seth Thomas Westminster Chime Clock No. 72 from circa 1921. It features a fancy pierced, hand-cut, hand-engraved, gold and silver plated dial and face. 113 three-train movement, chiming each quarter-hour and striking the hours on premium tuned Mayland rods in a Mahogany cabinet case. The movement has been completely and properly disassembled, fully serviced and thoroughly tested. The mahogany case retains its original finish. The Seth number 2 was an accurate time keeper and the railroad used them in their system showing the correct time to the many travelers passing through the train stations. This is a rare Colt advertising clock by Seth Thomas. The bubble glass front is in excellent shape with no chips or knicks and everything is there for the electric to possibly work but the wiring is old and needs attention so if it works that would be a big bonus. The background has spotting from time and poor air quality and only adds vintage appeal to the clock. It shouldn’t be available for long as there were none to compare it with at all. Original Seth Thomas long drop regulator clock. In very nice shape. All original as far as I can tell. It is currently not running but if I swing pendulum it does keep time for a minute or two with second hand and minute hands both moving as should.
