Beautiful antique Seth Thomas crystal pendulum mantel, empire-style clock. The clock came from an old estate that was located on the banks of Lake Monroe in Volusia County, FL. It is brass and beveled glass in great condition and lovely brass patina. From what I understand it is circa early 1900’s. There are numbers written on the bottom that are very difficult to decipher but maybe have some significance to model. The door works and it has the original key. When it’s wound it ticks and chimes. In Thomaston, Connecticut in the year 1899. It has the green marble-look Adamantine top and trim against the solid black Adamantine body. This is the actual date of manufacture painted on the bottom of the clock, and not just a patent date. Antique Seth Thomas Norfolk V. City Series Clock 1878 Serviced & Running. This impressive looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. USA right around 1800. The original signed painted dial boasts a patent date of 1878. The original movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and serviced so the clock runs good, keeps time and chimes properly, counting each hour on a nickle plated bell. The case is constructed of solid walnut and is in overall nice condition. The original finish is well aged and worn giving it an authentic rustic appearance. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine 6 Column Mantle Clock Rebuilt 89C Movement. Condition is very nice with a few flaws as normally seen on clocks of this age. Most notably the faux marble finish is lifting on one corner of the right side column base, and a chip in the finish on the lower left side. It looks like the gold has been repainted on the columns capitals and bases and the front feet. The rest of the case is very nice with a good shine and minimal defects. The back has some paint spattered on it and the catch for the panel was repaired with a 1960s era pulltab flap. […]
