Here is a large cleaned and serviced Seth Thomas movement stamp with a patent date of Dec 28, 1875. There is also a stamp that reads either FOA or FQA. It is mounted on a board with a pendulum and chime rod. It has a seconds bit, chimes on the hour, runs well and keeps good time. A fun conversation piece. Like a skeleton clock! The movement plates measure about 4″ W at the top and 5″ W at the bottom and 7 1/2 high. The width including the gears is 7 1/2. Up for sale is this nice Seth Thomas lever bottom bell ships clock c. This piece does run but has not been serviced since 1995 so I can not guarantee this as a working clock. It does sound the bell. There are some scratches on the dial as seen in the photos. The brass case is in very good condition. The three screws on the bottom of the hinge are not brass.
