This is one of Seth Thomas’s black mantels with the Adamantine finish. Cosmetically, the clock looks really good with a smooth glossy finish and original wash on the embellishments. The dial is nice, but a little faded on the numbers. The glass is a little shakey in the bezel, but that seems to be a design flaw more than anything. There’s a good label on the rear and the clock seems to retain most of its original parts. An extremely rare antique Seth Thomas wall clock find! I don’t know the exact date, but it’s most likely late 1800s. If there are any experts who can give me a more specific date would be appreciated. This is an original Antique 8 Day USA Seth Thomas Schoolhouse Wall Clock.
