The name of this set is; “SHIPMATES” and there is a sticker on the bottom of the base which verifies the fact. Really Cool Clock — Here’s what we know. It works – see below. The Brass base has been stamped as follows. Hitt 1981 suggesting it might be a 20 year employment or retirement award. The brass plate stamp likely places the date of manufacture to the early 1980’s. The bells work, but it looks like the hour hand needs to be adjusted two hours forward to align with the correct bell sequence. Despite not having a key and being untested, this clock would make a unique and historically significant addition to any collection of maritime antiques. Small hand tip is broken off. Hands do move freely but untested other than that.
