The case is black and is bakelite. The case has some discoloration and wear and scratches but case opens and closes nicely but screw is bent but operates. The case glass is decent and needs some cleaning. The dial is discolored and dial lettering is faded some readable. The dial is marked P. The width is about 7-3/4″ and depth is about 3-1/4″. This antique pendulum wall clock with a unique second hand is in very good condition and working. It has some ware from age and use but a minimal amount for being over 100 years old. The Seth Thomas movement is marked with an 80. After research, I think that this clock was made in the late 1800’s though I don’t see any markings on the back indicating the year it was made. Looks to be all original, including the key and pendulum. One tiny veneer loss as shown. I think finish is adamintine? It’s very dark brown, almost black. The original felt pads on the feet have been poorly replaced.

This is a very nice example of an older Seth Thomas mantel/desk clock. The movement has been cleaned and lubricated and runs and keeps excellent time. The chimes need attention if you want them working. I have priced this item for sale with the chimes not working. I’m sure a qualified clock shop could make this totally operational with little effort. I did refinish the case as you can see in the photos. This is a really nice looking clock.

This is one of Seth Thomas early miniature Ogee clocks finished in rosewood. The clock is in great shape with only slight losses. It’s a pretty early clock and the condition is better than should be expected. This one uses Seth Thomas’ less seen round plate movement. The clock is mostly untested but it was wound and allowed to run as it was being listed. It ticked and when the hands were cycled it chimed. This is an early and rare clock and in great shape. It’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!
