Antique SETH THOMAS Empire Crystal Regulator Clock c. 1907 – Tested + Working. This is a beautiful Seth Tomas Empire crystal regulator clock dating to the early 1900’s. This clock is in excellent original condition with some normal age related patina and tarnish to the brass case. This clock is all original with original 8-day brass mechanical movement and porcelain dial. The porcelain dial is in excellent original condition with no chips or deep cracks – Just one very light hairline crack that is hardly noticeable. The hands are original and in excellent condition with no damage. The beveled glass panels are original and in excellent condition with just one chip in the upper left corner of the back panel (see photo #6). Not noticeable except under close inspection. Original brass case is in original condition with normal patina and tarnish from age, but no breakage or cracks. Front and rear doors open and close properly. The original Seth Thomas signed 8-day brass movement is in great conditon and working properly – clock has been fully tested over the course of a week and kept good time and chimed at the appropriate times. Clock chimes once on the half hour and the number of the hour on the hour – Chimes sound great and have a beautiful deep tone. This clock comes complete with its original beautiful faux mercury vial pendulum (Does not have actual live mercury but was modeled after the French crystal regulator pendulums which contained live mercury in glass vials). Also comes with original brass winding key. Clock measures about 11″ Tall x 6-3/4″ Wide x 5-1/4 Deep and weighs about 10.5 lbs. This is a beautiful authentic Seth Thomas Empire model crystal regulator clock in excellent original condition and proper working order. The clock runs reliably, keeps good time, and chimes properly.
