Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantle Mantel Clock Made in 1900

Here is a beautiful Adamantine clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Co. Original signed Seth Thomas movement. Made in 1900 as marked on the bottom of the clock. The “Adamantine” finish, which is a patented laminate finish first used in the late 1800’s, is in very good shape. See photos and judge for yourself. The dial and solid brass bezel assembly appear to be original. The brass bezel and the dial have some tarnish from age. The clock measures 16 1/2″ wide (from front foot to front foot) x 11″ high x 6 3/4 deep. There is no key. The clock needs to be serviced to get it in good running and gonging order. It currently sometimes runs only for a few seconds and then stops and sometimes restarts again for a few seconds. This is a wonderful clock to have up on the mantle or shelf as well as something you can enjoy while it increases in value. Beautiful Seth Thomas Adamantine clock. The finish is in untouched condition. The bezel has a good compression fit that stays shut and does not open prematurely. This clock’s movement is a stamped Seth Thomas 3 5/8 model movement. The movement has the Seth Thomas Logo stamp also. There is a portion of an advertisement label on the backside promoting Seth Thomas clocks. The ornaments are tight on the clock and there are no missing or broken trim pieces. This is a superior quality clock that the Seth Thomas Company built. They were known for their eye appealing designs and precision mechanical technology back in the day.
