Rare Antique Seth Thomas 8-Day Chime Adamantine Pillared Sucile Mantel Clock Working. This is a really nice hard to find antique Seth Thomas 8-Day chime Adamantine pillared Sucile mantel clock. This is a very hard to find model with a patent date of Sept. It features a black onyx finish with scrollwork and beautiful Adamantine colors of orange and green. It has four full columns , two on each end. It measures 17 1/4″ wide including the feet, 6 1/4″ deep and 12 tall. It chimes at the top of the hour with the correct number of chimes and rings a bell at the bottom of the hour. The condition overall is very good. The face does show wear which in my opinion adds to the character of a clock well over 130 years old. The slow-fast adjustment on the dial does not work as the small brass gear on the movement came loose and will be included. This is not really a problem as the slow-fast adjustment can be done on the pendulum instead. You will not be disappointed in this fine antique clock.
