Antique 1895 Enamel Over Iron Figural Kroeber POMPADOUR Clock – VIDEO – MUSEUM PIECE – RARITY – Fully 24k Gold Plated. Pendulum – Present – Original. Mechanism – Marked Kroeber – Time and Strike. Hands – Original – Steel. Dial – Original – Painted Metal – Cut out style. Operating condition – Tested – I have ran for over 2 hours – the clock wound easy and kept good time during operation. Prior owner ran this clock off and on for several weeks at a time over the 20 years he owned it. Please understand i do not know the mechanical service history of this clock, and it MAY need service in the future for long term optimal operation. History – The prior owner was a clocksmith for 38 years and at age 89 he. Was no longer able to work on them, so decided to start letting some of his personal clocks go. Tho he did keep regular oiling and typical maintenance up as needed while he owned them until this last year. Features – Heavy at 15 lbs unboxed – VERY rare – Prior owner had this clock plated in 24k Gold – Every metal decorative accent as well the bezel and rear closure door is 24k Gold plated, certainly adds luxury feel as well as maximum eye appeal. Info on this clock can be seen in photo 2 and are right from the Kroeber clock book owned by prior owner – Beveled glass closure door – FANCY metal accents – 18″ tall X 10″ Wide – Very High Quality example. Clock Body – Condition is as seen – Please see ALL photos you be the judge. There are just a couple of small flakes spots in the enamel (can be seen in the photos just above the 12 & 1 position above bezel) otherwise No cracks, chips or damage to be found in the housing.
