Antique 1886 Ansonia LA VENDEE Porcelain Royal Bonn Mantle Clock – VIDEO – RUNS. Pendulum – Present – Era correct. Mechanism – Marked Ansonia – Time Strike – Open Escapement. Hands – Steel – Original. Operating condition – Tested – I have ran for over a day – the clock wound easy on both sides and kept good time during operation. Prior owner ran this clock off and on for several weeks at a time during the years he owned it. Please understand i do not know the mechanical service history of this clock, and it MAY need service in the future for long term optimal operation. Features – Superbly done Hand painted porcelain body – All Original – Beveled glass closure door with Pie Crust edging – 15″ tall X 13″ Wide – High Quality example. History – The prior owner was a clocksmith for 38 years and at age 89 he. Was no longer able to work on them, so decided to start letting some of his personal clocks go. Tho he did keep regular oiling maintenance as needed while he owned them until this last year. Clock Body – Condition is as seen – Please see ALL photos you be the judge. STUNNING Example – There is what appears to be a repair on the very tip (see photo 8 & 9) otherwise No cracks or damage to be found in the housing.
