Antique 1880s New Haven Slate MARBLE Mantle Clock VIDEO – RUNS – OPEN ESCAPEMENT. Pendulum – Present – Era correct. Movement – Time & Strike – Open Escapement. Dial – Painted Metal – Original. Hands – Steel – Original. Operating condition – I have many clocks to test and limited time to do so – Tested – I have ran for over 4 hours – the clock wound easy on both sides and kept good time during operation. Please understand i do not know the mechanical service history of this clock, and it MAY need service in the future for long term optimal operation. Features – Fancy slate with inlaid marble accents – Very heavy at 18+ lbs unboxed – All Original – 10″ tall X 15″ Wide – High Quality example. Clock Body – Condition is as seen – Please see ALL photos you be the judge. The top of the clock has had something sprayed on it, at first i thought it was paint but its not paint was something very fine, could be touched up and covered, but may take a solution to remove – No cracks or damage to be found in the housing.
