ALL ORIGINAL ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS #16 JEWELERS WALL REGULATOR Circa 1885

ALL ORIGINAL – ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS – #16 – 75″ TALL – “JEWELERS WALL REGULATOR – Circa 1885 – TIME TO DOWNSIZE – FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. Thin rubbed and waxed walnut case is 75″ high x 23″ wide x 7 1/2″ deep – It is fitted with an 8-day, single weight, time only, Seth Thomas movement – It has it’s original glass door and bezel, 12″ dial, hands and sweeping second hand – It has it original etched damascene nickel pendulum bob and nickel weight and pulley – It comes with it’s original Seth Thomas issued winding crank which is missing the wooden knob – The winding crank also locks the lower lock but the upper lock is missing the key – This a thin case model (from front to back) which would have been produced prior to the introduction of the ST No. 19 after which both the #16 & #19 had a thicker case – Full details on these models can be found in Tran Ly’s book on Seth Thomas Clocks and Movements – In addition, the top (2) finials are barrel finials and the lower finials are tapered – Seth Thomas specialist, Andy Baudino, inspected the clock and in his expert opinion the clock was most likely manufacturing during a production design.
