A very collectable open column SETH THOMAS Adamantine mantle clock

This is a popular example of a Seth Thomas 8 day larger size mantle clock. A black finish Adamantine mantle or shelf model. It does run and the strike is working correctly. HOWEVER = At this time it has run for a full 8 days and the time is within a few minutes a week. It has the back wood cover and door. Original pendulum is with it as well as a replacement winding key. Displays a fair paper dial. As always, the dust and grime are free. Case screws could use a tightening and little bits of touch-up and a thorough case disassembly and polishing / cleaning would easily improve the entire clock. It has the appearance of some black areas being repainted and should be polished and buffed. Not an absolutely pristine clock but actually does display well. Circa 1880’s thru 1900 =. As is means as is! It is a decent 8 day clock that is ready clean up and display and use.
