GORGEOUS SETH THOMAS WESTMINSTER CHIME 60 CLOCK REBUILT 124 MOVEMENT Ca 1939

Offered is this beautiful Seth Thomas Chime No. 60 produced in the year of 1939. The original dark chocolate brown finish on the Mahogany case looks great as the pictures will show. All the best features are on this model like raised trim in the front of the clock outlining the shape along the top ending at each end with distinctive moldings. Raised front panels of contrasting bird’s-eye maple. No scratches or chips are on the convex glass, one of the bezel forks to open was broken off but hardly noticeable and both front and back doors open and close properly. Another feature not found on the other chime clocks is a nice original 5 1/8-inch silvered dial with raised bronzed Arabic numbers applied to a background of harmonizing tint with fancy bronze serpentine hour and minute hands. A lot of times the tint is removed completely because of someone trying to clean the dial so finding one in this nice of a shape does not come by very often. The best sounding ST stamped chime rods are in this model which you can see and hear each quarter hour followed by the full Westminster chime in the video provided. The Westminster 124 movement has been completely rebuilt by me for many years of trouble free service. An original model label is on the bottom of the case and is in excellent condition. The original pendulum bob and original two sided key come with the clock. Every aspect of this clock is fully functional and in excellent condition. Disassemble the entire clock and movement myself completely. Install Seth Thomas parts on the movement as needed. Clean and lubricate the mainsprings for proper function of the movement. Replace all worn pivot holes with high quality Bergeon bronze bushings. Clean the entire movement ultrasonically. Clean the original dial by hand. Clean the bezel, parts and chime rods by hand. Clean the outside of the original finish by hand with mild cleaners as well as the inside and apply a coat of wax by hand. Clean the finish instead of altering or distorting the finish. This does decrease the value of a clock. Reassemble the clock, oil and lube movement in the proper places. Adjust chime and strike hammer sequence properly to assure smooth and even strikes at each quarter-hour and hour. Electronically regulate the beat and adjust the speed while the clock is level to ensure accuracy for many generations. Inspect and adjust every minor detail of the clock assuring full function and peak performance for many years to come.
